Our Mission

We want to see people in this area come to Jesus.  To know him deeply and follow after him with great boldness that leads to action not just knowledge. We desire Connect Church to be a place that builds up Christians in this area to impact our community for Jesus.

Our Values

Biblical Foundation: We trust what the Bible says and that it is the inspired, inerrant, infallible Word of God. (2 Tim 3:16, John 17:17)

Gospel Centered: We believe that Jesus is the answer and the hope to this world--our saving Grace and our guide to navigate our time on earth. (John 14:6, Acts 4:12)

Intentional Simplicity: We believe in striving to leave space in our lives to minister in the unique areas God has placed each of us individually to further the Kingdom.  (Matt 28:19, Luke 9:23)

Deep Relationships: We believe that the greatest transformation often comes from deep and authentic relationships that foster discipleship, accountability and outreach. (Acts 2:42, Prov 27:17)

Our Strategy

At Connect Church our values are not just words to fill a page, they are the strategy with which we believe our church will impact the community of El Dorado and the greater area. Through biblical gospel centered teaching, open dialog and space for relationships we believe in challenging our congregation to grow in their faith and intentionally leave space to create authentic relationships among each other and the community to sharpen, strengthen and encourage those around us.

We intentionally keep our kids with us during worship time (Connect Kids opens after worship and before the sermon) to fellowship as a whole.  We intentionally do not have a lot of additional programs and activities to leave you time to create opportunities to gather together.  The final Sunday of every month we all gather together (no Connect Kid program the final Sunday but Connect Nursery is still available) and share in communion during worship and a group meal after service.

Our Beliefs

We want to see people in this area come to Jesus.  To know him deeply and follow after him with great boldness that leads to action not just knowledge. We desire Connect Church to be a place that builds up Christians in this area to impact our community for Jesus.

God - There is one true and living God; He is infinite, eternal, almighty and perfect in holiness, truth, and love. In the unity of the Godhead, there are three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, co-existent, co-equal and co-eternal. One Triune God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – is the foundation of Christian faith, doctrine, and life. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Ephesians 4:4-6; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

Jesus - Jesus is Lord! Jesus is the eternal Son of God who is also co-equal with God. Jesus stepped down from heaven and took on flesh through a supernatural virgin birth. He lived a perfect, sinless life and then became the ultimate sacrifice for the sin of the world when he went to the cross and reconciled us to God. But the story doesn’t end there! Three days later he rose from the dead and conquered death and the grave and is now exalted at the right hand of God the Father. Jesus is the only mediator between God and man and salvation is found in him alone. (Philippians 2:9-11; John 1:1-2,14; Romans 5:6-11; 1 Timothy 2:5-6; Acts 4:12)

Holy Spirit - the Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son and convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He regenerates the human heart and indwells every believer guiding them in all truth. He leads the Church into a right understanding and application of the truth of God’s Word. The Holy Spirit glorifies the Father and the Son in everything. (John 14:16-17; John 16:7-15; Ephesians 1:13-14; Ezekiel 36;26-27; 1 Corinthians 12:7-11)

The Bible - We believe the Bible to be the inspired and infallible Word of God. The 39 books of the Old Testament and 27 books of the New Testament are the final authority for all Christian living, doctrine, preaching, and teaching. The Bible is God’s revelation about Himself, the sinfulness of man, and salvation through Jesus Christ. The Scriptures should be read and studied by believers, both privately and corporately, in order to fully mature in the grace and knowledge of God. (2 Timothy 3:14-16; Colossians 1:27-28)
